We're sorry to report, that due to moving and building our nursery, we will have to delay our mail order venture.   Availability of plants will be shown from September 2021, for Spring 2022 despatch. Our penstemon and perennials will be ready from April and will be sent out in rotation from order received. Many thanks for your patience. 

The nursery will be open to the public during August on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.  We will be closed during RHS shows. 

Penstemon 'Joy'

Named by Ron Sidwell after the lady who gave it to him. Suspected Chester Scarlet initially but definitely different. 
  • Colour: narrow for size of flower. Bright crimson
  • Throat: whte with strong lines in deeper carmine
  • Height: 75cm (2.5ft)                      
  • Earliest record: 1991


Cultivation Do's and Dont's

o    Do deadhead regularly
o    Don’t prune until spring
o    Do prune old growth when new shoots are 3-4” long
o    Do add organic matter or grit if planting in heavy wet soil
o    Do plant in a sunny position
o    Do enjoy the flowers from June to October
